What is the difference between manufactured and modular homes?
Manufactured homes are constructed according to a code administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD Code). The HUD Code, unlike conventional building codes, requires manufactured homes to be constructed on a permanent chassis. Why purchase manufactured homes vs. conventionally built homes?

The most obvious reason to buy a factory built home is the substantial cost difference. On average, factory built homes cost 10-35% less than conventionally built homes.

Manufactured homes can be erected in the factory in as little as 1-2 days. In comparison to conventionally built homes which take 3-6 months.


Can I Customize A Manufactured Home ?

Today’s manufactured homes come with "standard" features that you would find in a site-built home. Many floor plans are available that range from basic models to more elaborate designs that feature drywall, 5/12 roof pitch, comfortable bedrooms with walk-in closets and bathrooms with whirlpool tubs.
